PRIZES and SPONSORS
Since the inception of this great tournament in 1999, the job of gathering and coordinating
prizes and sponsors for the tournament has been in the hands of only a few. We are grateful
to the many who have donated prizes, sponsored a hole or contributed to the Silent Auction
table. So a big THANK YOU to everyone
But we need you now more than ever!
We are appealing to every golfer, foursome, and volunteer to really step up and
help out in any way you can. We can no longer rely on a select few to provide
prizes and secure sponsors. This is not just any tournament.
This is a Fun tournament!
We want to continue to provide you with a great day of golf, with an opportunity to
share a few laughs with old friends and to especially feel the satisfaction at the
end of the day knowing that you were a part of something very special.
Nobody is more thankful than Brent and Joanne. What you have contributed to making
life a little easier for Michael and Bryan is truly amazing. We want to take this
opportunity to show you a few of the ways you have helped out. This is a short list.

| * Walkers that the boys use on the country roads and in the hallways at high school, now! |
| * Bryan has a special chair that helps him glide with the use of this left foot |
| * Music and Earphones / Disc Players |
| * A 3 story elevator that gets the boys from garage level to bedroom level |
| * Trip to Newfoundland to visit relatives |
| * Ramp Decking at the cottage |
| * A Golf Cart that was retrofitted to take 1 boy at a time on cottage roads |
| * An 8' Change Table in the boys rooms |
| * Ceiling Tracking in both bedrooms that meets in the middle in the bathroom spa |
| * Air Fare for Joanne's mom in Newfoundland to visit the boys |
| * Hours of extended care |
| * And of course the Van that was equipped to handle both boys and all their needs |

Yes friends, this is what YOU did!
There are many things that the boys will be needing as they get older but nothing
more than a new Van. It took over 5 years of fundraising with this Golf Tournament
to finally raise enough to purchase their van. It was an amazing day when it was
unveiled for the first time at Oak Ridges Golf Course.
It will take another few years, we will crown many new Champions before we are able
to raise the kind of money we need for a new van. Can we do? The word 'can't' doesn't
seem to be in the vocabulary of the friends of the Michael/Bryan Open.
So the big question is:
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We appreciate that every golfer is already paying $150.00 for golf, lunch and dinner.
However, there are many ways that you can make it an even better day for everyone.
Here are a few ways you can help out.
| Sponsor Holes: |
We have 18 holes with 2 or 3 foursomes at each hole. If each foursome tried to get a sponsor
for their starting hole that would bring in clear profit. Let's make it easy and charge a
minimum of $50.00 per sponsor. If they are willing to pay more, that works too. We only
have to pay for signs!

| SWAG Bags: |
SWAG - Stuff We All Get. Bryan Desouza, a long time golfer
in the tourney, has graciously volunteered his time to help gather goodies for our
SWAG bags. We are looking for anything that we could put into the bag. Treats, golf
balls, tees. Any give away that you can get roughly 180 of.

We are looking for a Corporate friend to sponsor the lunch
portion of the day. Cost of the Sponsorship is $1500.00. For their generosity we will
provide a FREE FOURSOME into the Tournament. That's a $600.00 value.

As you all know, MaryLou and Wayne Copeland have been the backbone of this tournament since
its inception. They have put in a tremendous amount of time and energy to make this
tournament what it is today. They have had help over the years but without their dedication
and commitment to this cause, the Michael/Bryan Open may not have survived.
We all owe Mary Lou and Wayne a great deal of gratitude for keeping the light on.
At the conclusion of last year's tournament, we asked for NEW BLOOD to step up and help
out with future tournaments. We were delighted when we received calls from a great core of
Young Bloods to help carry on this fabulous tournament.
Although we are always looking for volunteers, Mary Lou and Wayne now have a great group to
carry the tournament forward.
If you have collected any prizes or are fortunate enough to secure a sponsor, please contact
